Possibly, nobody has not heard of the name “coldplay”, the band actually became popular when it hit to the world with pure British rock style and attractive voice of the lead singer—Chris Martin. The songs of them like Yellow, Viva La Vida are well-known and always played in radio shows around the world. There is simply no need to introduce more about them, so what I am going to do is just sharing the TOP 5 songs of Coldplay in my eyes and the my own experience on them. Music says everything!!
NO. 5 Trouble
The song expresses kind of situation that a poor man experiences great hardship when he hurt somebody without fault. The sad song shows deeply in emotion with a vivid picture of the man trapped in the spider web and cannot get out. Really moves people’s hearts.
NO. 4 42
I was touched when I first listened to that song, the more I listened the more feelings I got. Shocks in my heart cannot be expressed in words especially at the point it turned into chorus when the lingering voice was suddenly replaced by bang hit with rock. Bended the topic of death, time such big things in fantastic music which let people get the feeling of infinity of time, life and the whole universe. Most interesting is about the name “42”, what does it mean??? I have not figured it out so far.
NO. 3 Viva La Vida
No need to say a word. With great music and lyrics the song will certainly be classic piece. I remembered when the first time I listened to that I got the melody, simple but terrific. However, the arrangement of music is not simple at all, which is a good model for listeners and musicians.

NO. 2 Fix you
The song makes part of me melt every time. It is written to Martin’s wife as her father just passed away. The feeling of despair goes through the song, but the highlight is all about “fix you”. When everything sucks and you cannot see any hope, there will always be someone lift you up—“fix you” as “lights will guide you home and ignite your bones “. Deep feeling and deep love!!!
NO. 1 Yellow
Definitely a classic love song. The band colors the feeling of love with yellow. “Look at the stars. Look how they shine for you. And everything you do. Yeah, they were all yellow”. Love shines people with the color yellow. And yellow reflects different feelings of love in people’s mind, maybe joy or excitement or something else. I am just wondering why numbers of yellow balloons always come into my mind when I listening to the song, so what is the picture of you???
